DIRECTOR

JeffJeffrey L. Derevensky, Ph.D. is a Professor of School/Applied Child Psychology, Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology at McGill University. He is an Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry; and Associate Professor, Department of Community Dentistry at McGill University. He is also a clinical consultant to numerous hospitals, school boards, government agencies and corporations. He has served on many government committees and has performed consultative services for SAMHSA, NIMH, NRC, and the NCPG. Dr. Derevensky has published widely and is on the editorial board of several journals. He is a member of the National Centre for Gambling Studies, University of Alberta; National Network on Gambling Issues and Research, Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse; Centre d'Excellence, Université Laval; and is an International Associate of the Centre for the Study of the Social Impact of Gambling, University of Plymouth, England. He is a member of the Program Advisory Board, Institute for Research on Pathological Gambling and Related Disorders, Division on Addictions, Harvard University Medical School.

LynetteLynette Gilbeau, B.Ed is the Research and Project Coordinator. Her background includes training material development as well as elementary school education. Administrative Assistant

ArleneArlene Doheny is the Centre's administrative assistant. She administers the Centre's multiple grants and research funds. Along with the Director, she coordinates the dissemination of information to researchers, treatment providers, legislators, graduate students and the public. Arlene plays an instrumental role in coordinating the Centre's daily functions.

STUDENTS
DOCTORAL

Loredana Marchica, M.A., is a Ph.D Candidate in the School/Applied Child Psychology Program at McGill University. She completed her B.A (Specialization) in Psychology in 2011, and her M.A. in Child Study (Department of Education) in 2014 at Concordia University. Her Master's thesis investigated the effectiveness of an adapted version of the PEERS program (a social skills program for adolescents with ASD and their parents created at UCLA). She has also worked as a private ABA therapist and shadow for children with autism for over 5 years. Her current research interests continue to include development disabilities, while also having broadened to youth at risk for addiction, intervention and prevention practices for addiction and resiliency. She is the recipient of the 2015-2016 Heather Munroe-Blum Fellowship in Public Policy. Email: loredana.marchica@mail.mcgill.ca



MASTER'S

Jeremie Richard, B.A., is a Master's student in the Counselling Psychology Program at McGill University. He completed his B.A. (Specialization) in Psychology in 2016 at McGill University. Jeremie has been a research assistant at the Jewish General Hospital and McGill University Health Centre focusing on the psychosocial consequences of infertility and quality of life in cancer patients. His current research interests include factors influencing addiction and high risk behaviors in adolescents and the risks associated with the changing gambling environment.
